About BMI Calculator

Most BMI calculators bury a simple tool under a wall of text, autoplay ads, and a dozen clicks before you see a number. This one was built the other way around: the calculator comes first, updates live as you type, and everything else on the site exists to support it — not to compete with it for attention.

What makes it different

How it's built

Every calculation runs in your browser using the standard published formulas — the WHO adult BMI method and the CDC's own BMI-for-age growth-chart data — rather than an approximation. See the FAQ page for the full methodology, including the adult BMI chart and how the age-based switch works.
